Then came the morning of the promise: “… your children will return …” Rachel highlighted the words in sunny yellow, wrote the date in the margin, July 1984, and began waiting for God to keep His promise. |
“I never dreamed I’d see my children again; but my name is in Jeremiah and I believed the promise! My children started coming back to me in 1987 . . . “
A few years earlier, Rachel had left her name with the Toronto Adoption Registry, She had no desire to interfere in her children’s lives, but felt it was important they be able to contact her, if they wished. |
“What if they look and my name is not there? They’ll think I don’t care”.
Rachel’s miracles began to happen. Unknown to her, Tim had been looking for his siblings. When he found Roxanne in Edmonton, she told him she’d been searching too – for two years. Within a month, Rachel and Roxanne were reunited – after more than 15 years apart. |
