Well, I know about God; but I dont recall ever hearing that. What do you mean, He IOves me?”

Well, He died for you Rachel . . . He will give you a new life ,”

Rachel shook her head,

Its too late. George is going to die. Theres nothing left for me”

Lovingly Ruth continued until Rachel understood. They bowed their heads and Rachel acknowledged Jesus Christ as LORD. From that day on, life changed. Rachel couldn’t seem to get enough of the Bible: everywhere, she spoke effusively about Jesus Christ. She and George were introduced to a whole new set of friends, and before long he too committed his life to God. They were married in the hospital with doctors and nurses witnessing their vows. Soon after, in the hospital George laid his head on the pillow, closed his eyes and at 38 years old he died, Rachel filled her days by helping at the Coffee House. Loving those street kids like her own; hurting and crying with them; it wasn’t long before she realized her own need of inner healing. When opportunity came, she enrolled at a Youth With A Mission. (YWAM) teaching center for intensive Bible training, soul-searching, and prayer. Gradually, old heart-wounds began to heal.
